Hello Monday on a Tuesday Memorial Day Weekend

Hey loves. Happy Tuesday. How was your holiday weekend? We had a what I thought was going to be a relaxing weekend turned into a non-stop busy but fun weekend.

I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend.

Thursday

Yes I know Thursday isn't the weekend, but it was my busy day that I needed to be 4 places at once. I started the day off working at the church for 2 hours. Shockingly everything went smoothly, everything was ready for me to do, and no one bothered me so I got everything done I needed to. Thursday's are my big days of getting everything prepped, printed, set out, etc for the services on Sunday.  (If I didn't get everything done I was prepared to have to work on Friday).
After working I headed to the elementary school for a vital volunteer lunch. They had slider sandwiches, mini wraps, salads, dips, and dessert.

Next I headed upstairs (after checking in with the office again, I ended up checking in all the parents too) to foreign language week in Austin's French class. I loved seeing how they run a class. His teacher makes it fun with not just speaking French, but also using sign language and the kids moving around, and singing. The class did a quick group presentation then we played Battleship in French. (I won which was pure luck)

After Austin's class I had 30 minutes to go home and relax before heading to the middle school for Ella's art show. There was no guess what artwork was Ella's even if I hadn't seen her name.

She is very quiet about her art work (and singing too) so I loved seeing how much she has progressed.

Friday

No excuses to not get a workout in first thing. Ella was at her dads the night before and they were dropping her off. I was told she would be home around 6, that turned into her blowing up my phone to wake me up (oops I was actually finally sleeping) and she was home before 530. I was up, no one else was awake perfect time to get some upper body done.

I spent the afternoon at our neighbors house prepping for a birthday party. I helped make mini finger sandwiches, cut up veggies, and more. I got my kids off the bus then we all headed back to our neighbors to hang out.

We ended the night making a balloon arch too. Ella did all the streamers around the house. It was the perfect set up for a 5th birthday.

Saturday

10 am start baseball game for Austin, which really means he has to be there at 915 to start warming up and Brian is one of the coaches. It was a chilly morning and Anna was in a mood so I woke Ella up to watch Anna and I went to the baseball field right at 10.

After baseball we went home and got ready for the party. Anna and one of her friends. (not the birthday girl)

The party was garden party themed. The girls all got flower crowns and everyone painted little bird houses. Anna is sitting next to the birthday girl here.

Austin had fun painting a birdhouse too.

For the first time ever I played bocce ball. Those balls you throw are heavy. Brian and I went up winning, I have no idea how because I don't understand that points and I suck at throwing the balls.

Sunday

Our first official outdoor service of summer at church. It was a bit chilly. Normally Anna goes to the nursery and Austin draws at a table. Outside they took the kids and feed them some fruit and sat in a circle and played/talked. It worked out nicely. They brought them back for communion and the end where the kids dance and play instruments.

After church I took Ella shopping. We did a little thrifting and stopped by Target for a few things. Then we headed to Brian's moms for a cookout. Once the sun was behind the trees it got chilly and they started a fire.

Monday

Even though it was a holiday and no one was working at the church, I went in to get things done because I would not be in on Tuesday morning. First stop was checking on the mother goose. This was the first time she was standing and I saw the eggs.

These two cuties also had to go to the office with me. They brought their tablets and played/watched TV while I got work done. They were so good.

After working we headed to Cedar Point for our first trip of the year, we have season passes. First ride was the lady bug spinny ride.

One of their favorites little train roller coaster and you know when the camera is to have fun. Brian is pouting and Anna is so excited.

The top picture is Austin and my sister in law, the bottom is in niece and brother in law.

They kids rode 5 rides, we ate a bunch, and had fun at the petting zoo.

Anna rode the Iron Dragon roller coaster. They lowered the minimum height to 42 inches and she was finally tall enough. She loved it and wanted to get in line again, but the line was 30 minutes so we said another day.
We had a fun relaxing day at Cedar Point. It was busy but not horrible for the kids rides. There will be a lot more visits this summer.
