Hello Monday on a Tuesday Mother's Day Weekend

Hey loves. Happy Tuesday. How was your weekend? We had a good weekend with baseball, music ala mode and Mother's Day. I am looking forward to this week which is another crazy week.

I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend.

Before I jump into recapping our weekend. Andrea shared this on Friday and I had to share too. I know I can be selfish at times as a very grateful mom of 3 whose mom and mother in law are still around. Two of my best friends have lost their mom in the past two years, and I know this holiday is hard for many. (the same as father's Day) I am beyond grateful for my three children and even though I spent every day with them, spending Mother's Day with them is even more special with the memories and love.

Friday

Friday morning I had to pick up Ella from her dads. On the way home I noticed the sign for Qdoba. It has been over 15 years since there has been one local to us. Brian always talks about wanting Qdoba again now he can get some soon.

The kids all went to school and I went to go do some work and noticed my plant was "crying"

My wellness box shipment came in. I will have a unboxing and review video up later this week on Youtube. I am already planning my June box, if I don't end up ordering another box this month.

A little late but finally did our dry erase calendar for May and some of June. There is only one day in the next 5 weeks that doesn't have something planned. Then I find out that Brian does have stuff planned that day to work at the church. It is going to be a busy few weeks then summer starts.

I got my kids off the bus then they wanted to play with their friends. We ended up having dinner and just hanging out with our neighbors.

Saturday

Anna is her own vibe. I was getting ready for Ella's music concert, Brian and Austin were at baseball practice and I heard the front door open. Anna usually just sits on the porch and rocks. I checked the camera and didn't see her to I ventured outside to find her. She was just sitting in the sun with her sunglasses on. I love that she wants to be outside.

Ella's yearly music concert that I got no pictures of. It is an all day music fundraiser for the schools that goes from 10 am to 10 pm. No you don't have to be there the whole time. It is grades 5th to 12th, choir, band, orchestra and all the extras (show choice, jazz band, etc). Ella had to be there at 1220.

After watching Ella perform they have cake and ice cream and an "instrument petting zoo" where you have the option to try a bunch of different instruments.  Anna picked the violin. The lady grabbed the smallest one they had for her to try, which was still to big, but she was so excited.

Austin picked the trumpet which he was afraid he was going to break it. (When Ella played the trumpet she wouldn't let him touch it and said he would break it)

We went home and grabbed a snack then Ella and I went shopping while the kids played and Brian did yard work. I treated Ella to Starbucks.

Teenager who doesn't smile.

I got back from shopping and my kids were already across the street playing with their friends. Brian was finishing up yard work then had to go shopping for food for Mother's Day lunch. I went across the street to help watch 6 kids, who were playing nicely. We ended up having dinner over there again.
We called it an early night by 8 to be able to give the kids baths.

Sunday

Happy Mother's Day. The sun woke me up at 5:55, the blinds didn't get closed the night before, oops. Brian got up a little after 6 and ran to the store for who knows what. I officially got out of bed and got ready for church at 730. Both kids were already dressed, I just had to brush Anna's hair.

Brian had made bacon and a delicious quiche for breakfast. We had breakfast then headed to church.

After the church service Brian went home to start prepping, cleaning, and cooking for our lunch. We had invited both sides of the families and some friends for a Mother's Day lunch which was always do. (Usually we do a brunch but decided to push it back into lunch so we weren't so rushed). I stayed at the church while my kids were at Sunday School and talked with my girlfriend.

When we got home I took a wonderful nap.

Everyone started showing up around 1. Not everyone was able to make it, things didn't go as planned but we had a nice time. We grilled chicken and steak kabobs with veggies, and grain and kale salad from Costco.

After all the family left the neighbor friends and their kids came over to hang out. Ella made obstacle courses and played teacher with the kids.
