Hodge Podge 5.14.2025

Hey loves. Happy Wednesday. I linking up with Joyce over at From This Side of the Pond for Wednesday Hodge Podge.

From this Side of the Pond

1. What's something you're curious about right now?

Hmmm I don't know if I am really curious about anything.

2. If you could plan the perfect girl's weekend getaway, where would you go and what would be on the agenda? Do you have anything like this on your calendar in the next few months?

The perfect girls - to the beach and a house with a pool. Relaxing, reading, girl talk, some fun beverages and no kids or guys sounds wonderful. oh and maybe some shopping too.

I have never had a girls weekend. In the 13 years I have been a mom I haven't had a weekend away with just friends. (yes Brian and I have taken little trips but I have never done anything without him)

3. What's the most unique item in your refrigerator right now?

All the hot sauces, none of which are mine. I should have taken a picture. We have at least 10 different hot sauces some store bought, a few from the Hot Ones challenge, and one that our neighbor makes.

4. In this season of your life, what do you find most challenging?

Life in general. Parenthood.

5. Do you collect anything? If so why that?

I use to collect frogs. From statues to book marks, wine bottles with frogs on them, etc. I had over 300 different figurines at one point. It all started with my mobile as a baby had a frog on it. When I had my back broken when I was 14, friends and family would buy me different frog stuff as a gift. I kept collecting until I was like 25. I got divorced, moved back in with my parents, and most of my stuff when it was in storage. When I moved back out I had kids and knick knack collecting dust or risk or being broken had to go. I don't currently really collect anything.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I am loving the warmer weather. I had so many plans to get outside and do some yard work and plant flowers in my pots. Our schedules are so busy the next few weeks and if there isn't anything on the schedule or it gets cancelled it is raining. It is a no win situation.

Feel free to follow along.

  1. We still need to finish up our outdoor pots too. We just haven't had a moment plus the rain has been ridiculous. Hopefully this weekend we get to it. My hubs would love dinner at your house. He loves his hot sauces too. Have a nice day.
