Share Our Lives- Taking a Break

Hey loves. Happy Monday. How was your weekend? We spent the weekend down in Kentucky at my sister in laws farm. We had so much fun.

It is time for Share Our Lives link up.  Join DaraJenJoannaSarah, and myself on the second Monday of every month we share different aspects of our lives.

In January we shared Tips to Share Time on Chores
In February we shared Tips for Falling Asleep.
In March we shared a Day in the Life an Average Day
In April we shared Creative Outlets or Free Time
In May we shared How I Spend My Birthday
In July we shared our Best Vacation Memory!

This month we are sharing our How Do You Take a Break?

We just got back last Wednesday night technically Thursday morning at 1am from an eight day Disney World vacation. I need a vacation from my vacation. Every day we walked at least 20,000 steps. We were going from 8am to 10/11pm. It was hot and crowded but also a lot of fun.

Usually our vacations has a "break" built into them, this time it did not. When we drive to Florida we usually stop at my sister in laws farm on the way home, but we flew this time. We did however go to the farm a few weeks ago.

This view from their back porch, with no close neighbors that aren't family (even they are a few hundred feet away), cows, chickens, all the birds and wildlife. It is so peaceful.

On a day to day basis I try to take a break for myself every morning. I wake up before anyone else and take time for what I call my mindset morning. A devotional, journaling, gratitude, and Bible reading.

I dream of one day being able to take a weekend away just myself as a reset/break and alone time. As a mom of 3 time just for myself doesn't come often.

  3. I definitely need my "alone time" in the mornings and I've been missing it this summer as I'm just not motivated enough to get up early.
