Wellness Goals for the rest of 2025
School starts back next week and it is time to get back into a healthy routine. I thrive on a morning routine for me with devotional, Bible, gratitude, and a workout. We have been back from vacation since August 8th. I hadn't worked out in over two weeks between vacation and Monday. My body was starting to feel sore and my back was starting to feel tight. On Saturday I took a nap with Anna in her bed (bad idea) then Sunday my back was bothering me worse. Monday morning I did a workout that I didn't think was horrible, by the time I got home from work I was in a lot of pain. I spent most of Monday and Tuesday evening on the couch with ice and heat, as well as stretching. Now how I planned on starting the end of summer, but the reality of life with a life long back issues.
The plan for the next few days is to ease into loosening up my back again, doing stretching and gradually adding in low impact, light weight workouts. Then staying consistent 3 to 5 workouts a week and walking 3 to 5 days a week.
Looking Back
In January I shared these personal goals for the month...
- Workout 20x
- 10,000 steps 3 days a week
- Drink 80 oz of water
- Sleep 7+ hours each night
- Stop eating because I am bored
- Skincare routine morning and night
I am refocusing back on these goals going into September.
Food
- 3 days a week I will be eating lunch at the office. I have access to a fridge and microwave if need be. What are your go to health lunches that aren't super messy or smelly.
- It is almost soup season and I am all for veggie soup with sourdough bread.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
I find it's so hard to stay consistently working out and even eating healthy; I find it is so easy to stray and then I have to really work hard to redouble my efforts to get back into those healthy habits.
