Hey loves. I am recapping our Disney World vacation that we took the end of July into the beginning of August. We spent a wonderful week down in Orlando, Florida at Disney World. This trip was extra special because it was my 40th birthday trip and we went with another family. Be sure to read Day 1 and Day 2 and Day 3, and Day 4 if you missed it. We are onto day 5, our resort hopping day and more relaxed if you can really say that about a Disney vacation.
Let's start the recap. The plan is to go day by day, but some days maybe broken into two parts depending on how long they are. We had a busy 8 days with 6 days of parks with park hoping, resort hopping, and more.
Sunday August 3, 2025
We got to the park before official opening and headed straight to Fantasyland.
Our first ride was Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. It said a 40 minute wait, but the line kept moving, there is things in the que to keep you entertained. We probably waited about 30 minutes.
Next up was the Pooh ride then off to get some much needed iced coffee.
There was a short wait for Haunted Mansion so we did that next and got pictures when we were leaving.
On our walk over to Tiana's Bayou we refilled our popcorn bucket. It was so hot and I was ready to cool off some.
As always we take pictures of what my kids want to purchase with their spending money.
We were walking by Pirated of the Caribbean at the perfect time that they were reopening and got in line and had no wait.
It was hot and the kids wanted a little break, and the adults wanted a snack. While the adults grabbed some snacks the kids enjoyed Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade cups. (they probably had one every day).
Yes that says feels like 112. Welcome to Florida in August.
After a snack we rode Aladdin's carpets then headed to the monorail for our lunch reservations.
We had reservations at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort for lunch. I originally planned to get Kona coffee but it was to hot, instead of I got an iced beverage.
With an edible flower that Ella stole.
While we waited for our food the kids played together and Ella and Katie (the other mom) played dots.
Ella got the kids sushi
and I got poki, it was so good but there was so much of it I couldn't finish it.
Then they surprised me with a cupcake for my birthday.
Before we had lunch we put our names on the wait list for Trader Sams. They were able to fit all 9 of us at a table since the kids squished together. This is a bar that serves fun themed drinks. When you order certain drinks the waitresses come dressed out in different outfits, some blow balloons, other make it feel like your under the sea. It is a really neat vibe.
After some drinks we headed back to Magic Kingdom.
The boys got in line for Tron and the girls went to meet some princesses.
Ella and i also ran around unlocking magic band games.
The boys ended up not riding Tron the line kept getting longer as they waited and the kids didn't have patience. Since we used rider swap Ella and I ran back to Tron when their wait time was up to see if we could get on and it work. It is such a cool ride.
The kids were hungry and got dinner at Pinocchio. Then we rode It's a Small World, and the Carousel before getting the adults dinner at Columbia Harbor House.
It has been a long day. We watched the night time parade up front then took the bus back to the hotel.
It was already after 10pm when we got back to our hotel. (A long 14 h ours with kids ranging from 3 to 13) Ella and I went to grab a bite to eat and saw an albino gecko. She tried to catch it with no luck as he was on the ceiling.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
