Hello Monday 10.27.2025

Hey loves. How was your weekend? Ours did not go as planned, and I didn't take many photos at all.

I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend.

Friday

I had the house to myself. Brian was working at the church all day and my kids were at school. I spent the day doing all the things around the house. The house just needed cleaned up- swept, dishes, weekly laundry, baked bread, made banana bread, and sourdough pizza crust. I didn't work out but had 48 exercise minutes on my watch as well as over 10,000 steps and 12 flights of steps.
I also put together a standing desk. I wanted to be able to work on my laptop, walk, and watch tv. Or just stand a watch tv or stand and walk without having to use Anna's gymnastics mats. I love the desk is adjustable and light weight. I can move it out of the way when not in use. It was also easy to put together.
I also finished watching Love in Blind, so disappointed with this season but can't wait for the reunion.

Anna helped me make pizza for dinner. I had ranch chicken banana peppers while everyone else had red sauce and cheese. The pepperoni we had went bad and I am avoiding red sauce as it is giving me heartburn lately. We spent the rest of the evening relaxing at home. Brian played some Xbox with the kids, while I read the ARC.

Brian and I were suppose to go to a wine tasting with some others from church. We ended up not having a sitter, and the weather was crappy I was content with having a lazy family evening as we were supposed to have a busy weekend.

Saturday

I slept in until 7 then the day started with getting more stuff done. I folded all the laundry that I washed the day before while finishing watching the series Sirens on Netflix.

I had pulled all of the boxes of size 5 and 6 clothes out of the attic earlier in the week. I went through all of Austin and Anna's clothes to get rid of anything that doesn't fit, is stained, or won't fit next summer if it was a summer dress.

I started getting Anna ready for a Fall Festival at our church where the kids got to dress in their Halloween costumes. While brushing her hair I noticed she had lice. (we had received an email from the school nurse on Friday that it was going around the school)  Change of plans. I ran to the store to buy lice treatment. I spent two hours treating and combing out Anna's hair. While also stripping all our beds, treating the house, washing all the pillows, throws, blankets, etc.

Such a hard life for mommy to treat you hair and comb out your hair for 2 hours. She took over a 2 hour nap.

We didn't go to the fall festival. We also missed an open house style get together our friends were having. I could not mentally risk passing lice onto anyone else.

Brian had a showing and grabbed Jimmy Johns on the way home. Neither of us wanted to good and our original plan was to eat at our friends house.

Before bed I checked Anna's head again and found no more lice or eggs.

Sunday

I didn't take any pictures.

Our morning started off with Brian baking bacon before church. Then we all headed to church. The kids and I stayed for Sunday School while Brian went home to prepare for hosting brunch. (I did check Anna's hair again and didn't find any lice or eggs and felt confident in going out in public with her)

Brian's niece was in from California for work and stopped by to have brunch with the family. We had a nice get together with everyone. Brian's brother ended up staying to watch the Browns game. We had the girls at our house playing, while all the boys were at the neighbors playing (meaning the kids). We ended up all together at the end of the night while the dads watched the first half of the Cavs game and we traded back kids.

Our night ended with showers, head checks (clear again), and bedtime stories.

It was a long weekend for our washer and dryer. Mentally overwhelming. Thankful that the plans we had could get cancelled and everything worked out nicely. Sad we didnt' get to go to the fall fest or to our friends, but everything happens for a reason. We did have a nice time just the 4 of us.

Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,

  1. Oh, that routine is exhausting for everyone, including the washer and dryer! I have been there before with my girls and it is a pain. I am glad you could get back out on Sunday though. Happy Monday!
