Hello Monday on a Tuesday 12.9.2025

Hey loves. Another busy weekend with a lot going on.

I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend.

Friday

It is deer family season as I call it. During the winter months we will see all the deer together as a family compared to mom and her babies during the summer. The year we first moved in we saw 11 together. This year we have had 14 together all females. There are also at least 3 males that we have seen together too.
Friday morning was blistery cold with wind chills in the single digitals. When I looked out the window I saw a deer sneeze and you could see his breath. That was the first time I had ever seen a deer sneeze or his breath. Austin said its cold outside we should let the deer in the house, I agreed. To my surprise Anna said no they would destroy the house.

All the kids were at school, Brian had work at the church and helping his Aunt so I got to enjoy some grocery shopping alone. I grabbed a Chestnut Praline Latte and it was delicious. It has been hit and miss this year if peppermint mocha has been tasting good at Starbucks.

After Trader Joes I had an eyebrow wax appointment, then ran into Aldi for the few groceries we needed.

After shopping I enjoyed some sushi (from Trader Joes) and watching Christmas movies until it was time for the kids to come home.

My kids came home and packed for their sleepover at MeMaws and Papaws. Brian and I were going out for his birthday dinner.

We dropped the kids off then headed to do some Christmas shopping. We had time before our reservation. Walmart, Petiti's, and Meijer's.

I made reservations at Cabin Club steakhouse. It is one of Brian's favorite restaurants and it is local.

Dinner was delicious, minus the spinach.

They even brought him our a birthday mousse with a candle.

After dinner we sent to Sierra and did a little more Christmas shopping. I then called it a night. I was hearing new knee high heeled boots and my feet were screaming. They need to be broken in more and I haven't wore heels like this in years.

Saturday

No kids and no activities I got to sleep in. I actually slept in until after 8, I didn't have the intentions of sleeping that late. I woke up to the smell of bacon. Brian was making chili for his birthday poker night.

Brian cooking chili took a little longer than expected so we didn't have time to go to a new breakfast spot I had in mind. We still had time to stop by a quick deli for a peppermint mocha latte, and scone. Austin had an eye dr appointment so we had to pick him up.

Brian took Austin to his eye drs and grabbed the new things we needed that you can only get a Costco. (flour and wine)
The girls and I went to Sam's Club per Ella's request.

After shopping the kids and I finished decorating the inside the house and put all the boxes back in the attic. Brian finished the outside lights and decorations. Then cleaned up the house.

Sneak peak at Ella's village. This is my favorite one so far.

Anna is on a puzzle kick again. She did all four (with help even though she can do them herself) then needed a picture taken before putting them away.

Brian and some friends (9 in total) had a birthday poker night at our neighbors house. The neighbor ladies and kids hung out at our house. We had some Sugar Plum French 75s, do you see the glitter, and ordered tacos while the kids played.

Sunday

Sunday was a rough day. I was up half the night in the bathroom. I believe the tacos we ordered didn't agree with me. Brian had to work at church so the kids and I stayed home. Brian and the kids went to the neighbors house for dinner and the Browns game. The kids played, and went outside in the snow.
By 5pm I was finally feeling better so I popped over for birthday cheesecake dessert.

I was back home by 7 to start to get the house in order for the week ahead. Then kids were home by 730 ready for showers and bedtime stories.
