Hey loves. Happy middle of the week. It has been a rough few weeks at our house with sick kids, one kid has been fighting different infections for the past two months, hopefully we are finally getting some answers and he will start feeling better.

1. It's officially spring in the northern hemisphere. Does it feel like spring in your part of the world? If you're in the southern hemisphere it's officially autumn where you live. Does the weather say autumn? Which do you prefer-spring or autumn? Why?
As I am typing this Tuesday morning, I am in northern Ohio by Cleveland. The sun is shining, there is a light coating of fresh snow (from yesterday) It feels like 18 degrees F outside. So I would say for today it doesn't feel like spring. Now Thursday is a high of 66 and storms so yes it would feel like Spring then. Welcome to Ohio weather where we jump 30+ degrees in one day, you have no idea how to dress for the weather and it changes in the blink of an eye. You would think I would be use to this as I have always lived here, but you get that tease of Spring and you want it to stay, but in reality we can have cold and snow until May.
I like Autumn/Fall more. The change of the leaves, fires, all the colors, etc.
3. Spring into action, spring in your step, spring to life, spring to one's feet...which spring idiom currently applies to your life in some way? Explain.
I have never heard of spring to one's feet. I would say my current idiom is Spring in your step. The sun is shining, I am starting to feel like me again, motivated, active, etc.
4. Which spring food from this list is your favorite? What's a dish you like that includes your favorite spring ingredient?
asparagus, strawberries, salad greens like mesclun, artichokes, spinach, eggs, peas, spring onions
Strawberries are always a staple in our house. I also love asparagus but don't eat it as much as I would like because no one else in the house really likes it.
5. What's one task on your spring cleaning list? Do you actually have a list?
I need to make a spring cleaning list. One task I know I need to do is clean the windows. When we bought new windows when we moved in our house I made sure they folded in so I could easily clean the outside of them.
6. Insert your own random thought here.

When we lived in the northeast I felt the same about spring. It wasn't really official until Mother's Day and we never put plants out before then. Hope everyone is on the mend there. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone will soon be back to full health, dealing with sick kids is no fun. That was definitely a good move with the design of your windows. Fortunately we've found a reliable window cleaner who cleans the outsides so we only have to worry about the insides. Hope it warms up for you too.
