Labor Day Weekend Wrap-up

Happy Tuesday. I am already all confused on what day it is since having a 3 day weekend for most businesses and the kids having off school. In my mind today is really only Monday. So much to do this week even though it is a short week.

The reality has hit. September is here. Kids are back in school, the weather is cooling off, then we get a random hot day with even thunderstorms. You would think it was Spring. I am loving the fall air it also means everything PUMPKIN.

Friday morning started off with Pumpkin coffee, and a pumpkin swirl cinnamon roll.

I had a mini play date at my house with just the 3 youngest kids. My girlfriend and my sister came over. They both have started blogs and needed some help with a few things and the both also wanted haircuts. Here is Heather's before:

And her After: She calls it her mom hair but she loves it.

And her after.

Even though it is the weekend we are trying to keep Ella on the schedule of waking up like she was going to school and going to bed at a decent time. Saturday our trick was offered for her to go get donuts. What little girl is going to say no. Pumpkin swirl latte with almond milk and a pumpkin donut.

My kids were invited to our neighbors birthday party. It was at Jump Yard, which is a local place that has a bunch of bounce houses.

The kids had so much fun. There is so much to do for all different ages. Some of the houses that Austin was to small to do by himself Brian or myself were able to go in with him.

Ella loved going down the big slide.

There was also an area for under 36inches. They had a closed off area with a ball pit, building soft blocks, Fisher Price houses and slides, bouncy toys and so much more. Austin spent a good amount of time here having fun.

The party was 2 hours. You get 1 hr and 15 minutes of play time, which was felt like more than enough, then 45 minutes in the party room. The blow up princess or prince chair is the huge hit. (birthday girl wearing her crown)

All the kids wanted a chance to sit in the chair after pizza, cupcakes, and goodie bags. Over all they had lots of fun, and both kids took a nap on the way home.

Sunday started off with Aubriella and I going grocery shopping then turned into a lazy day until we went to my mother in laws for a cook out. We ended the day which turned out to be a perfect night for a fire.

Monday was really a lazy day. I got some work done outside while Brian and his uncle worked out painting our deck more (one day it will be finished) and Austin played in the yard.

The little girl next door also came over to play with Austin.

She even took him for his first ride in a Power Wheels. He loved it. He tired to drive himself but is about a foot to short.

Hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday weekend. Check back later today and I will be doing another blog post about my monthly to-do lists.
