Bedside Book Review

Last month I took a little more time and got some reading done. My girlfriends and I read a book for our little "book club" and I have been trying to get back into a routine and wake up before everyone else, enjoy a cup of tea, and some reading. I know this will all change in a new months when there is a new baby but giving it a try for now.

Last month I read 3 books.

Lets take a look

Love Lies and High Heels by Debby Conrad

A cowboy meets spoiled princess romance. Two worlds collide where opposites attract. Between lies, betray, and love all mixed together.
It was an ok read. I wish there was more development in characters and less sex.

Which End is Up? by Patricia Kay

I really wanted to enjoy this book. The story line something I normally would like. Younger sister Perry shows up at older sisters doorstep, Grace, nine month pregnant with no plans, and no idea what she is going to do. Grace takes her sister in and helps with the baby. Then Perry decides motherhood isn't for her and runs back to her old life leaving Grace with the baby. ... The book jump situations and time frames a lot and was hard to keep up with. I honestly didn't finish reading it.

The Mister by E L James

From the author that brought us 50 Shades of Grey. I had high expectations since I enjoyed the 50 shades series. I was very disappointed in The Mister. The characters stories left a lot of unanswered questions, were undeveloped and didn't leave you feeling warm. It took me a while to read this book. I stopped for a few days before I started back up again hoping it would get better, but it never did.

What I am currently reading:

Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis

Fiance For The Night by Melissa McClone

  1. i have heard nothing but horrible things about the mister lol. i'm not a 50 shades fan so i wasn't going to pick it up anyway, but it sucks that it is falling flat for so many people. shine not burn by elle casey was a cute cowboy meets city girl kind of book, from what i remember.
