Not Just a Mom Favorite Workout Places

Hey loves. Happy Monday. It is hard to believe that it is already the second Monday of the month. How was your weekend? We hosted dinner for a few of Brian's siblings that were in from out of town. Brian made home made lasagna with homemade sauce and I made sour dough bread. It turned out great. It was nice meeting his one brother in law who hasn't been back to Ohio from Colorado in 10 years.

Today is another Not Just a Mom Link up. If you are new- every month, the second Monday, I link up with these incredible ladies (DaraJenJoannaLauren, and Sarah )  and we share different aspects of our life. We are more than just moms. We would love if you blog, to link up, and share with us. Each month is a new topics:

In January we shared- Our Favorite Bloggers
In February we shared a Day in the Life
In March we shared Our Reading Habits
In April we shared What's For Lunch
In May we shared our Go To Gift Ideas
In June we shared our Dream Travel Locations
In July we shared Family Food Traditions
In August we shared Binge Watching Shoes

This month we are sharing Favorite Workout Places.

If you didn't know I am a health and fitness coach who runs virtual bootcamps to help moms make themselves a priority with at home workouts and family friendly nutrition. With that I work out at home. I have a membership to our local rec center but have yet to use to workout. Between being a mom of 3 and the hours they are open, and only my youngest can use their child care, my older two are not old enough to be home alone or use the equipment and you have to reserve a limited spot at least 24 hours in advance for the childcare, it is not very convenient. I have been working out from home for over the part 8 years. From my parents living room, in the kitchen while cooking, hotel rooms, small space in the living room of an apartment, the garage, open floor in the bedroom, and even on the small patio of the Disney Polynesian resort. As long as there is a few feet of space I will make a workout work for me.

This is my current workout space in our basement. I use my mxy bike screen to stream all my workouts on Beachbody on demand. I either workout on the mats or on the bike. I have free weights and bands near by.

Before I got the myx bike I would stream BOD which has 1000s of workouts from Beachbody and openfit. I would use my firestick, smart tv or laptop.

This was my last favorite space with awesome lightening and the mirrors, but the space was odd shaped and not very easy to do any sort of cardio when Anna was downstairs working out with me, but was fine if it was just me. We are in the process of demoing this space in the basement to turn it into a craft room and place room for my kids. Eventually the other part of the basement will also be finished and I will have a workout space with mirrors.

Where is your favorite workout place?

  3. Oh gosh that's tricky about the kids being too old for childcare but not old enough to use the equipment. I am very lucky that my two little ones are still able to go to our childcare. I don't know what I'll do when they outgrow that!

  4. That's a great set up! We think alike in the fact that it's just easier to get it done at home haha
