Orlando Business Trip Day 5

Hey friends. A few weeks ago I got to go with Brian on a business trip to Orlando without kids. If you missed anything I already shared

Orlando Business Trip Day 4 (Epcot surprise)

and today is the final day of our trip. We had originally planned to come home Thursday, then it was suppose to be extended until Saturday for Brian to work more while we were down there. After the tornadoes that hit near our house, not knowing the full extend of the damage done to our house, family was still out of power, and the kids crying every night that they wanted their mommy we decided to not extend our trip.

The morning started off by packing up, trying to fit everything in our luggage, (I will never fly without checking a suitcase again, espeically if we are bringing home souvenirs for my kids) Then we headed for Disney Springs to walk around, a little more shopping, and wait until it was time to go to the airport. We just so happened to walk past Gideon's and there was no wait. I had heard amazing things about their cookies but there is always a 30-45 minute wait, if not longer. We decided to go in. I got a delicious ice coffee, and Brian and I shared their original chocolate chip cookie. This cookie was huge and could have been spared with 5 of us.

The vibe inside it witchy, spooky, books, dark, ... very neat.

It was a very hot day, I am thankful we were not at a park this day. At 12:30 it already felt like 108 outside. I was not feeling the greatest, probably nerves, lack of sleep, missing my kids, worrying about getting home, and not drinking enough water.

We went to Boathouse which is one of my favorite restaurants and I got half a club sandwich. I ate probably 3 bites. Between not feeling well and it was weird that the bread wasn't toasted.

We arrived by 4, our original flight was at suppose to leave at 5 something, and home by 9. Little by little we got delayed almost 3 hours. We didn't get home until midnight, but we were thankful to get home.

We had a nice much needed time with just Brian and myself. You can never predict the future and wouldn't have left if I knew we were going to get hit by tornadoes. I know my kids were safe, but they always feel better with their parents. My kids are still afraid a month later anytime you say it is going to storm, even if it isn't severe.
