Hey loves. Happy Tuesday, how was your Easter? We had a wonderful day with family and friends. My kids are in spring break this week and our schedules are just crazy. I had off work yesterday from the church, stayed home from my marketing job that I could have gone into (I logged into zoom), instead I enjoyed time with my kids and being outside a lot.
I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend.
Thursday
Thursday night really means its the weekend when there is no school on Friday. The kids and I went to our neighbors for what was suppose to be an hour for the kids to run around before they had to go to baseball. I ended up staying and hanging out with her hubby while my kids played, then Brian and the other neighbors showed up.
Introducing- Ariel mermaid, fairy unicorn!!! Dress up is always fun over here.
Friday
We started our morning off by picking up Ella from her dads. I have texted Ella to see if the dog was in the living room or in the office with her step mom who usually is working at that time. She didn't text me back so I just went in the house and let Anna and Austin in the car. I go in and see the dog is out so I turn around to grab Anna, who loves petting the dog, she is already out of the van and walking in. She got her dog fix and we left.
First stop was Rural King for the kids to get free bags of popcorn, check out the baby chicks, and we needed peanuts for the squirrel. Next stop was Dollar Tree for odds and ends. We then made an impromptu stop to see Brian working at the church, then did more shopping.
Next was bathing suit shopping. We went into Marshalls and found Austin two swim trunks, socks, and Minecraft Crocs.
Then we walked over to Kohls and didn't find any swimsuits that were Anna's size. We ended at Target and found her one.
I did see this planter at Kohls and sent as a hint for Mother's Day but it was the last one so I don't have my hopes up.
It was lunch time and I surprised the kids by going through the drive through of McDonalds, then to the park to eat. I grabbed myself a sandwich too, then regretted it since it gave me a horrible stomach ache, one day I will learn.
The playground was busy, Anna only wanted to swig, Austin wasn't really playing on the equipment just running around, and it looked like it was going to rain so we stayed a half an hour before we headed home.
Later that afternoon we celebrated this little girl's 6th birthday.
Then we ended up back at our neighbors house again because Anna left her sunglasses and flowers she picked and kept asking. It turned into another night of the kids playing dress up. Saturday
I was supposed to grocery shopping on Friday but instead took cuddles with Anna. I woke up Saturday morning and went to the store a little after they opened and it was pouring. Got it done for the week and it wasn't too busy.
Then I got everyone ready for Easter Bunny at the American Legion. Brian walked in the door from a breakfast meeting 2 minutes before we had to leave.
First year no tears and they both willingly went up to the Easter Bunny. Anna hugging her brother is the cutest.
We even got Ella in the picture and she smiled.
Since I didn't have Ella for Easter day we took a family picture a day early. (Ella is wearing my black flower dress and told me to wear her orange/red flower dress that she got at a consignment shop in the same size)
The rest of the afternoon was cleaning, baking, and prepping to host Easter brunch. I made an adorable bread bunny but forgot to bring him out.
The kids also colored Easter eggs before our neighbor friends came over for the kids to play.
Sunday
Happy Easter, the only picture I took at church. It was very busy with so many kids and families. Anna stood on the step and danced her heart out.
Brunch with our families turned out good. We had egg quiches, bacon, sausage, mixed fruit, cinnamon rolls, and lemon blueberry bread. The kids did a little Easter egg hunt and played outside on the trampoline.
After everyone left we took a wonderful afternoon nap, then went to our neighbors open door Easter. The kids did another egg hunt and had fun playing with so many friends. The night ended watching the Cavs win their first playoff game, then the girls had a Taylor Swift dance party.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
What a beautiful Easter weekend- love the family pic! That bread looks adorable and delish!
