Hey loves. How was your weekend? Our weekend is still going with the kids having off school today for Presidents day and sleepovers.
I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. Let's see what we did this weekend and a little beyond.
Friday
My kids had their Valentine's Day parties at school. Anna's was in the morning and Austin's was in the afternoon. This year they both had the same "cards". I bought mystery bags that have a little resin animal and made little tags they put their name on.
I worked the check in table at both parties then while the party was happening I escaped to their classroom to see them. Between the two parties I ran out and got a much needed haircut.
After school we watched a neighbor's children for swapping Valentine's Day. When they got home they watched my kids and Brian and I went out for a little bit.
Brian and I went to Yard House to get appetizers and a drink. I got a red wine sangria.
We shared ahi poke nachos, my favorite.
Then we tried brussel sprouts. They were tossed in a sauce that I didn't realize was very spicy.
We also tried a crab stack tower. It was good but I had to pick out the hot peppers.
Saturday
Happy Valentine's Day. We didn't have a super early day I decided to sleep in. I woke up to breakfast in bed.
I enjoyed my breakfast then folded all the laundry. Afterwards I headed downstairs to give everyone their Valentine's Day chocolate. I kept it very simple this year.
Anna had basketball first. She did so good and even made a basket. We played a team that was mostly 2nd graders as we are mostly 1st graders. We know most of the girls and parents on the other team. They all cheered when Anna made a basket as she is so little it is a stretch for her.
Austin had his basketball game next. Grandma and Aunt Judy, as well as a few neighbors came to watch. Austin made 3 baskets and his team ended up with over 50 points and won.
When we got home the kids got showers and lunch, then I went and hung out with a friend who just needed someone to talk to.
The girls as in Anna and her friend planned their own little fun Valentine's Day party, which the parents agreed to.
Brian got the kids a heart pizza
While the kids played the adults had a game night.
Sunday
Our morning started off with church. Afterwards Brian came home and started some electrical work in the house, while I laid down with a headache.
Brian had planned a laser tag day with the neighbors. We had decided to do activities for the kids birthday gifts, this is what the boys wanted for their birthdays. There were 12 between kids and parents in our group. The place was also busy with parties and other people, but everyone had fun. I did not go. We leave for vacation in 12 days. It is not worth it for me to risk aggravating my back before we go.
After laser tag everyone came back to our house to hang out. Somehow we agreed to the kids having sleepovers.
Anna went down to her friend's house for a sleepover. (I got a text at 615 they were already up and on their tablets) (The third girl doesn't do sleepovers out of her own house due to maturity level)
The boys slept at our house. They were told they aren't allowed to wake up until 630, it is currently 623 and they haven't made a peep yet.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
