Hey loves. Happy Tuesday. How was your weekend? We had a busy holiday weekend with a birthday party, lots of cleaning and prepping, and a cookout. I am looking forward to a short week
I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday.
Friday September 4th
Kids went to school and I made my grocery list and waited for the storms to pass before I went shopping. I ended up going to Dollar Tree, Aldi, and Target. Right as I got to my car to leave it started downpouring again. Thankfully it had slowed by the time I got home and had to unload.
I had fed my started to make 4 loaves of bread after my kids left too and started doing some cleaning around the house.
I picked Ella up from school and got Anna off the bus. Then it was time for my nail appointment with my girlfriend.
We came home and started making homemade sourdough pizza and turning the active starter into bread. Brian drove Ella to the football game to drop her off.
Our neighbors and us had pizza for dinner while the kids played. The adults played Rummy for a while then it was time for bed for the littles. I was reading until it was time for me to pick Ella up from the game but her friend's mom brought her home.
Saturday September 5th
A slow start to the morning while sleeping in, taking a shower, having a quick breakfast, and separating my sourdough dough into 4 loaves. We were out the door by Brian's request and push by 830.
First stop was Lowe's to buy new cushions for our patio set. The kids and I also played in the Halloween section. They had try me buttons (that actually worked) for all the motion displays. Anna went through and pressed everyone then jumped when one popped but that was delayed. Austin did the same thing a few minutes later.
I needed coffee so we headed to Paris Baguette for coffee and a treat. Brian and I shared this pumpkin tart that was delicious.
Anna and Austin both got chocolate croissants which are always a favorite, I think they need more chocolate. To drink I got their pumpkin cream cold bread, it is my favorite out of all the ones I have had this year.
Next stop to Full Auto Farms to get local honey. It is also Brian's friend so we stayed and talked for a little bit. We showed the kids all the beehives from a distance.
I plan on making fermented garlic honey and fermented pineapple honey for the sick season.
Afterwards we stopped by a local farmers market. Brian was looking for the vendor that sells hummus but he wasn't there. We haven't been to their farmers market all year so we don't even know if he still goes there or not either.
With time to spare before we had to pick up food for our friends birthday party we stopped by Lighthouse pools to get information on a pool.
We were home for a little bit. I baked one loaf of bread then had to run Ella to her carpool for a Girl Scout event.
Time to celebrate Gigi turning 5, and watching the Ohio State football game.
The girls did a K Pop craft, had a dance party and a pinata.
We ended up spending the rest of the evening just relaxing over there, watching football, while the kids played.
I came home and got ready for bed then saw Ella had made me earrings at her dads the day before. I had mentioned we needed W earrings for school Spirit. Looked online and didn't see any.
Sunday September 6th
Up early and out the door for church at 830.
Then it was home to prep for hosting a Labor Day cookout on Monday. The house needed a good sweeping and mopping. I took the extras out of the living room and formal dining room to get to the floor easier. Brian worked out getting yard work done as I did everything in the house from scrubbing toilets, sweeping, mopping, putting stuff away, baking bread, organizing the office again...
The kids were having a playdate with their friends. I eventually went over and we watched a little of Practical Magic before the guys came home and over with BLT's and we turned on football.
We ended the evening with a fire at our house. The kids wanted smores. You can see the TV from the fire pit area so the dads also watched football. The girls had a sleepover across the street, as the boys had a sleepover at our house. (just the littles)
Monday September 7th
I slept in until 815. It was wonderful. Tomorrow will be back to the early 5am wake up with back to school. Brian made coffee and breakfast while he prepped ribs to go on the smoker. I eventually made cornbread and enjoyed some relaxing quiet time to read before the chaos of the cookout.
We spent the rest of the day enjoying our company for our cookout with delicious food. Then it was showers and bedtime and back to reality of the week.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend and a great week ahead.
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
