Friday Favorites

Hey loves. Happy first Friday of December. Crazy to to realize there is 5, yes only 5 Fridays left this year. Now if I could have snow that be great. Yesterday was freezing with feel like temps in the teens, and today's high is mid 50s. Crazy Ohio weather.

My dad is having knee surgery today thoughts and prayers that everything goes well. He should be coming home tomorrow and we will be there to meet him to help me in the house. This weekend we also have a Cleveland Monsters Hockey game that the kids are excited about and probably driving around looking at more Christmas lights. Maybe baking some cookies too. What are your plans this weekend?

Time for some Friday Favorites with these lovely ladies: Erika, and Andrea.

The kids got to decorate two of our Christmas trees. They also got along while doing this. They even helped Anna with hanging them properly.

Gusgus our elf on the shelf came back with a North Pole breakfast and another season of fun. I am sharing a quick reel on Instagram and Tiktok everyday with his adventure. I will also be doing a weekly wrap up on Saturdays on the blog.

My dad has knee surgery today and will have a walker. Their step to get in and out of the house has been an issue for him for a while. With the surgery and walker we knew it would be near impossible for him to safely get in and out. Brian built him this step that is big enough for the walker and that also connects to their deck.

The holiday fun has started. We went to Magic of the Lights and saw their light display, then drove around to a few neighborhoods. We received a free ticket from Magic of Lights to go and share on social. We had never been before. We picked a weeknight knowing that weekends are busy. The kinds enjoyed it, and that is really what matters. If we were to have paid for a ticket I do not think it is worth the price.

In my online virtual wellness community I share weekly meal guides that include breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. One of this weeks breakfast was breakfast banana splits and I made it dairy free.

My current read Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris. I am baffled, on the edge of my seat, I need to know what happens next but there are not enough hours in the day.

I got a new winter coat. I needed/wanted a coat that I could go outside and play in the snow with my kids. My other winter coat gets wet even thought it is cute and halfway warm. I got an awesome deal on this coat on Black Friday. It is still on sale at Kohls.

I am also now like the cool kids with the thumb hole in the sleeve. I also ordered Ella a new coat and one of her requirements was a thumbhole.
