Hey loves. It's Friday. Summer is in full swing. We had a fun week with baseball, gymnastics, and more fun. Tonight we have a crushers game, tomorrow we have two baseball games (one under the lights again), and a birthday party. My birthday is also this weekend so many things are going on.
~ ONE ~
A week full of baseball. Austin was suppose to have 4 games in 8 days, one got rained out. Hopefully tomorrow's weather holds up so he can play under the lights. (The rain out was supposed to be under the lights.) His one game this past week they were playing in 106 degree feel real temperatures everyone was miserable.
Anna also had a t-ball game this week. She has two more games this season. Next year she will be playing coach pitch. We watched some of a girls softball game and oh my all the questions of how things are different between t-ball and softball.
Don't we all bring a Bible to watch a baseball game? Anna had to go with me to one of Austin's games. She packed a bag with snacks and a few books, including her Bible.

It has been a week of animals. From crazy squirrels knocking down my bird feeder (then still trying to jump on the window) to baby mice in our shed, and the baby birds hatched on our second story downspout. They are so cute when you see their heads sticking up wanting food.

Hello Summer, she came with full force. We had 4 days of temps with the heat index above 100. Every other day has been in the upper 80s or 90s. Mother Nature is not joking around. My kids and neighborhood kids have enjoyed some of the waterside a few times.
My kids have been in their little pool for at least 3 hours a day every day this week (minus yesterday). They are loving these floats and make games out of it.

Anna requested her own library card and was so excited when she picked out her design. She had previously always just used my card. I believe starting in 1st grade (this upcoming school year) they take trips to the public library and can check out books.
~ FIVE ~
Anna also started gymnastics this week. She goes once a week for 6 weeks for the summer. If she likes it we will look into doing more. She loved the class, I wasn't a fan of not being able to watch her. Adults legit drop their kid off at the door and leave (I sat in the parking lot) then pick them up at the door. They didn't give you instructions, talk to the parents or anything.

They have been loving sleepovers all summer and for the last week sleeping in their fort in Austin's room. Anna usually ends up on the ground between the mattress and the wall and half the time Austin is on the floor too. Today their fort is coming down. I can't get to the dresser to feed the fish or put away laundry and I need to see what clothes Austin needs for vacation.

Last trip to Cedar Point of the month (we ended up going 3x not 4 like Brian had hoped). We had a full van. Ella had her friend, and we took Austin's friend who has never been to Cedar Point before and never rode any real rides (minus fair rides). They had so much fun and he is such a thrill seeker.
Austin and his friend hung out with Anna for a while then they went off to ride bigger rides.
Anna and I just hung out in the little kids areas and she got to ride pretty much every ride that she wanted to. There were barely any waits because a storm had come through earlier in the day and a lot of people left. It was also supposed to be storms in the afternoon and it never did.
In case you missed, here's a quick look at the blog this week:
Monday- Summer Goals
Tuesday- Coffee Chat
Wednesday- Whats Up Wednesday
Thursday- Summer Break Week 2
Thank you for stopping by!!!!! If you are new here,
Feel free to follow along.
XOXO
What a fabulous week of favorites! Those stormy days (where it never materializes) are always the best park days.
ReplyDeleteI was hesitant on going to Cedar point once I saw the forecast. i'm glad it worked out for the best.
