Hey friends. We made it to the last Friday in July. Its sad summer is coming to an end so quickly. My kids still have 4 weeks until school starts but it will be here before we know it. This week I started to go through the kids clothes and school supplies, while also spending lots of time outside, going on adventures, and checked a few items off our summer bucket list.
~ ONE ~
Just lounging around. Our neighbors got a new hammock that the kids wanted to test out. They may have flipped out of it a few times but had fun.
~ TWO ~
One of our other neighbors are out of town. They said for us to go pick some blackberries. They are delicious and my kids will eat them, they don't like berries from the store.
The attire to pick berries. Anna's pink baseball cap is on the ground and she decided to steal and look cute in Austin's dinosaur hat.
~ THREE ~
It is the 4th month of our church group meet up. This month was our pick. We went with Merwin Wharf in Cleveland with delicious food on the river.
~ FOUR ~
First adventure of the week. We picked up Ella from her dads then went to a hike, visited a nature center, played at 2 parks, did a little back to school shopping...
and had a picnic lunch.
~ FIVE ~
My girlfriend is a local police officer. The city she works for had a small safety day event. It was a day I had her daughters so I took the 3 girls to the event. They got to throw water balloons at the officers and checked out the fire truck and more.
~ SIX ~
Some of my flowers in the front are blooming again.
~ SEVEN ~
My own personal mermaid. Anna got this mermaid costume for her birthday. Double duty for play time and she wants to be Ariel for Halloween.
~ EIGHT ~
Adventure number 2 of the week. Trip to the Cleveland zoo. We have a membership but don't go as often as we use to. The weather was perfect. We ended up seeing half the zoo, then grabbed lunch and went to the candy store.

The mermaid costume is cute and it's always nice to have Halloween figured out early. I love blackberries right off the bush. Safety day looks like fun, and it's so nice the officers host that. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think fresh picked berries taste better than the ones from the store!! What a cute mermaid and costume!!
ReplyDeleteThe zoo sounds like another fun outing! I think it's a riot that your kids won't eat berries from the store but happily eat the ones from your neighbor's yard. Seems very much like how kids usually are.
ReplyDeleteSounds like y'all are enjoying all things summer until school starts! Enjoy your weekend!
